Position Title: Plant ManagerPosition Overview:The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all functions of the facility to maximize revenue and profit. This includes ensuring excellent customer service, managing expenses, optimizing resources, and maintaining safety and compliance. The Plant Manager will oversee plant operations, supervise plant operators and administrative employees, and implement process management practices. They will also be responsible for financial planning, equipment maintenance, quality control, and compliance with permits and licenses.Essential Functions:- Direct and oversee all aspects of the business unit to ensure safety, compliance, and profitability- Take full P&L responsibility for the plant- Collaborate with Sales and Services and Customer Solutions to increase volumes and maximize pricing opportunities- Stay updated on market activities, pricing, and competitive changes- Focus on productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement- Ensure compliance with local, municipal, state, and federal regulations- Optimize staffing levels to maximize productivity and meet customer requirements- Operate the site safely and in compliance with regulations- Recruit, train, and supervise plant operators and administrative staff- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure adherence to established procedures- Manage wastewater treatment process and discharge for compliance- Ensure proper documentation, customer interaction, and billing practices- Compile and analyze reports for decision-making and compliance purposes- Manage plant maintenance and report site conditions- Administer expense budget and contribute to cost-effective operations- Participate in special projects and compile reports as needed- Follow all regulations, policies, and work instructions- Adhere to safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment- Communicate professionally with colleagues, management, clients, and vendors- Coordinate with other departments within the organization- Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)- Waste Stream or Wastewater training- Three years of Waste Water experience or related experience (Required)Knowledge and Skills:- Experience in managing employees- Budgetary and profit & loss responsibility- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)- Experience with Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a plus- Professional appearance and demeanorWorking Environment:- Exposure to hot or cold weather conditions- General office conditions- Ability to work with strong odors- Some light lifting and bending- Periods of sitting
